This fan really does not move much air around but it’s got just the right amount of noise for a small bedroom. If you are looking for white noise this will do the trick. We have this in our baby’s nursery and I love that it’s not blowing a ton of air. I know normally this would make for a 2 star rating but we are happy! Since honeywell made their fans 25% quieter they pretty much are useless to me! I just wish they made a bigger size that was noisy too!

I bought this fan as background noise for my baby’s nursery – it works beautifully, leaving a nice hum that blocks out other sounds, moving enough air to keep the room fresh, but not too much to make the room too drafty and my baby to get cold. I do run it on the highest setting for maximum “whoosh”. 
I LOVE it for my purposes, worked out just as I had hoped.

I’ve used this fan for two years now, and it still amazes me. It is loud; jokes like, “did a jet just take off,” are often heard when I turn it on. But I live in humid Louisiana, and when the air conditioner in our office stopped working a few weeks ago, people across from me always asked that I turn it on, because it put off enough air to cool them down as well. Bottom line is, this thing pushes air. A lot of it. If you can handle the noise, it’s the best little fan you’ll ever buy.

This product is surprisingly durable, even after being chopped up and put back together for a science project. This cheap fan has lasted me nearly a year now and still works like new… it’s unbelievable, it appears of bad quality but just keeps chugging along. If you need a small fan that’s very portable, or just some background noise to sleep, this fan will do the trick for you.

I’m the type of person who has a hard time falling asleep unless the medley of a blowing fan is near. Despite its size, it packs quite a punch, and it helps to keep the room cool.
We absolutely love the size, air flow and noise level. We love having this cute little black fan in our kids rooms so that we can drown out the noise and they sleep MUCH better. This works great for a fan as well as white noise. We would definetly choose this fan again.
I purchased this fan because I wanted something to drown out the noise of people talking next door, and it’s done a very good job so far.
