I bought this heater for 2 reasons. I wanded to use it while ice fishing. My friends and I fish in shantys so the heater keeps us nice and warm. I also live in the country and when the electriclty goes out as it often does,we have a heater to use to keep us warm. The heater has many features such as a wire frame that keeps the flame at a safe distance from anything flamable.I would buy it again.
I am very well pleased with the heater, the service and the delivery. I have never used Amazon.com before, but believe me I certainly will again. My husband and I bought this portable heater after we went through one power outage in northern California. It is so breezy and cold up here during the winter that not having a heat source for even a few days was horrible. Now, with this particular propane heater, it keeps whatever room we were in nice and toasty without the use of central heating. We moved the heater from the living room to the bedroom at night and stayed warm. It’s safe and easy to use. Highly recommend it.
After using the portable Mr Heater twice it has worked well. It was easy to set up, easy to light and gave off plenty of heat for our 8′ x 26′ rv trailer.
I purchased this heater to use in a tent and small trailer when camping on chilly nights. It works really well and once you have the space heated I can turn it to low or off. I use it with the one lb propane bottles and since I don’t use the heater for long periods of time that works well for me. Doug
This is just the greatest, exactly what I was expecting and put off more heat than expected. Bought it to heat a small hunting shack in the woods, actually need to take the hunting coat off to be comfortable. It is so light weight to carry. Nothing but good things to say, easy, simple, I leave a large propane tank out in the shack, quick and easy hook up and I am cozy in no time!
Bought this heater before winter 2010 but never got to use it until the recent power outages in New England where we had no power for 7 days and nights. This heater worked like a charm. It was impressive how much heat it put out, yet the immediate surroundings remained cool. The heater sitting on ceramic tiles was all the precautions we needed. It was simple to set up (once we figured out one of the sets of threads were left-handed threads), easy to turn on and off as needed, and it ran for 5 evenings (intermittent use) on one 20-pound tank before it needed to be swapped out for another tank. I give it 5-stars for being dependable and easy to use in a pinch.
I got one of these to save on Elect heat at home & I now use it most of the time in my Bathroom seeing Elect heat takes Forever to heat my tiny bathroom up,so I turn the heater on & let it run a few min then jump in shower & it’s SO Nice/Warm,one thing happened to mine,it got Bumped a bit to Hard & Cracked the ceramic piece,where the flame runs over,it still works but one needs to Not Be Rough with them,replacement Parts can be ordered but I have Not done so. I also found similar heaters @ Home Depot at Great Price awhile back & I bought 2 more for X-Tra Heat or Latter,the propane lasts awhile and I pay about 2.00 per tank at wallmart so not that bad,I like to sit and stare at the flame & feel the warmth & pretend it’s a Fireplace,lol it is Nice…”"”"I would NOT use around Young Children”"”….
