Dyson DC25 Ball All-Floors Upright Vacuum Cleaner

The Dyson meets its claims. The power is outstanding, easily picking up lint from very difficult-to-clean, dense, old carpeting in a particular room of my house. The machine easily switches from carpet to tile floors, and the on-board wand with accessories is helpful once you get used to them. Be sure to watch the dust bin maximum fill level mark, especially when using for the first time, to avoid over-filling.

They take it even further and when you put the attachment into its storage location on the machine it latches in and gives a satisfying tactile click. I really cant say enough how happy this makes me. I got really tired of reattaching and picking up attachments that would fall off while using the other vacuum. 2. This Vacuum has a big BALL. Ok I figure the ball was the biggest gimmick of the entire device, but it actually works. Around table legs, obstacles , if you get the A.D.H.D whim to change directions this vacuum effortlessly changes directions. The brush head also has a notch that allows you to swing around a couch leg and back up and get get the back side of legs without having to walk around the couch. Satisfying. 3. This Vacuum SUCKS. Like really sucks. I have a black lab and he sheds like crazy. To help manage his shedding we give him a bath about once a week. The bathroom gets utterly destroyed after his bath with his hair everywhere. I simply close the door, let everything dry and come back with the Dyson.

This DC25 Multi-Floor is great in that respect. It has outstanding suction and picks up all the standard stuff on the floor I expect a vacuum to manage, plus my Jack Russell’s copious hair as well. It sucks at my oriental fringes but doesn’t try to eat them so I can successfully vacuum on and off the ends of those rugs without problems. The Oreck has a handle that is supposed to help pick it up over such things, but the handle is on the back so isn’t useful. The DC25 has a handle on the front, but I haven’t needed to use it. The main problems I had with the Oreck are solved with the Dyson, plus the latter gets under my sofa edge and the toe plates of my cabinets, which the Oreck could not. The Oreck gets further under higher furniture, but that hasn’t been as useful as I thought it would be. Also the Dyson picks up closer to the wall and the attachments finish that job. Oreck claims the little side brushes flick wall stuff out to be picked up, but they don’t work. The Dyson wand and tools are amazing.

I’d never used a Dyson… but had seen the advertisements. I took the advice of the reviews here at Amazon, and bought it from Amazon… price was the best I could find, and trust Amazon as an online retailer. The Dyson and added attachments were here sooner than I expected, and when the items arrived – the packages were in better condition than I saw them in the store! I bought the Dyson DC25 All-Floors Upright. Once it was all assembled (tricky at first – but amazingly easy, really) I ran it in our living room, over the same part of the carpet my wife had just swept that day… and she was surprised at how much dirt it collected. I went over the entire carpet and almost filled the bin. There are a lot of things to like about the Dyson. * Suction is awesome * More amazing is the ability to transition from tile, to carpet, to throw rugs, without a single adjustment – or the rugs getting sucked up into the brushes every time… that’s the first really amazing thing I noticed. * The handle / wand / hose are all one piece.

i don’t drop 500 bucks on an unproven product. so when something like this dyson vacuum comes along, i wait. i wait patiently and see what the reviews say. then i wait some more to see how durable the product is etc. after so many reviews, 90% of which were 4 and 5 stars, i decided to pull the trigger and buy the DC25. It is the best 500 bucks i have ever spent. the vacuum is leaps and bounds better than any other vacuum out there and when you pull this thing out of the box, you instantly see why. every part on this vacuum was designed with blinding precision, the pieces fit together seamlessly and tightly with the result being a very solid vacuum when you handle it. the entire unit is made of high strength durable plastic and it is very lightweight. it’s an appliance that was carefully designed and conceived with the consumer in mind. every attachment, the wand, the debris canister; they are all designed to be removed with simple precision and ergonomic perfection. it definitely feels and looks like a 500 dollar vacuum.
