Ridiculously Hard to Clean. We've had the Ikon for a couple of years. Breville Blender. I love this blender. Expensive - but well worth it! Every day for the past decade, my wife and I have started our day with a shake that includes frozen bananas, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries. Veritable Revolution in Blending. Key things to notice:1. This blender rocks! What a great blender! A Really Great Product! When I decided to purchase this blender, it was after much research. Best Blender Ever! Great for everyday use. I make smoothies twice a day and this is the best blender I've ever owned. Quality Disapponting. After several weeks the bearing of the knife was rusty and gone and the metal coating of the body exfoliated. Unquestionably the best blender I've used. After much research and hand-wringing, I finally made the plunge and ordered 750-watt Breville blender from Amazon back in May 2008. Excellent Product. The blender is everything one could wish for in a product like this.

After you use one of these, you'll never go back to a whimpy blender. Happy-as=can=be. We purchased the Breville BBL600XL Ikon 750-Watt 51-Ounce Blender from Amazon, because our local Macy's did not carry the more powerful Blender. GREAT SMOOTHIE BLENDER WHEN USED CORRECTLY : NO LEAKS! When our old "big box" blender stopped working I knew I wanted to replace it with something much better. It Leaks - Don't purchase if you intend to use it longer than a year! I purchased this blender having read about it and about earlier models that have problems. Good Blender, Good Customer Service. In December 2008, we purchased this blender, locally, from a kitchen/bedroom/bathroom store that is no longer in business. Wow. We can't speak to its longevity, as we have only had it for a month, but it does everything we have asked of it so far. Piece of junk. We spent a lot of money on this blender thinking that it would be worth it, but it was NOT. Wow, that's a smoothie. I've only had the Breville Ikon for two days, but I am very impressed. Worked well for 6 months then blades gave out - beware. We purchased this item about 6 - 8 months ago and were very pleased with the performance and low noise level.

Incredible Blender. My husband and I had given up on the idea of finding a blender worth purchasing, when we stumbled on the video review posted on this page and thought "OK . The "Real Deal" Review. I don't write reviews but I've read thousands over the years. Magic. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. Breville BBL600XL. I initially had a great experience with the Breville BBL600XL blender. Two dead blenders. After the failure of previous blenders in the $100 range, I decided to pay a bit more for presumably a better blender. Blender leaks. Leaks__! Parts hard to find. I love this blender, for all the reasons other folks have raved. Not worth the price. I had to replace a trusty old $40 blender that finally gave out after 4 years and my fried had just bought one of these and gave it high praises. Best Blender EVER! My 20+ year old blender finally died so it was time to get a new one. Pretty, but Unreliable. I just repackaged my second Ikon 600XL.
Great Blender! After reading most of the reviews I decided to purchase this blender. Dead after about 20 uses. Started off great, no leakage like other complaints I've read here, but in the middle of making a Malt the front display lights went out and the Blender was completely dead. Best Blender in the World. Only had a week but can't believe how much better it is than previous Kitchen Aids. Best blender ever. LEAKS. If you blend every day, this isn't the blender for you. Was worried from other reviews, but it's actually quite fabulous! We purchased this blender despite other reviews that it leaked. Never again. I purchased a refurbished blender from abes of maine,it stopped working after 2 weeks and 3 uses. Second blender in two months. Junk! NO STARS! This blender ROCKS!!!!! A good blender, except you may have to watch for leaks. My experience with this blender is on the whole good. Finally, the blender search is over. I bought this blender from Amazon after seeing the ratings at Consumer Reports. No customer service, unable to reach anyone if your blender has a problem. I purchased Ikon 600xl Blender locally. LEAKY. I love the way this blends/crushes frozen fruit/etc. Pain to just replace a fuse!!! Will need to throw it out! Worked great until a fuse blew. Excellent. works great, very powerful. It Takes a Gorilla Grip to Prevent Leaks. If you take the time to wade through all of them, you will find dozens of reviews that complain about leaks, along with many more that claim they have experienced no leaks. Fool me twice... FANTASTIC BLENDER -- All Features Superior to other Brands UPDATE: October 28, 2009They now make a thicker seal ring! Defective bearing. The bearing in the blade assembly seized on the shaft and caused the blender to overheat due to the excessive load. A solid heavy-weight performer. The most amazing thing about it is the "Snow" function. Great power- not very durable. I bought this blender on Feb 26th, and it's Aug 1 and the thing is broken. On second thought... I am re-writing my review - I wish I could change the number of stars I awarded this product but for whatever reason I guess once you put in a review that doesn't work when you try to edit your review. This is a Great Blender. Have bought 5 Blenders before this one And by Far this is the best oneWould buy it again. Blender Supreme. Love my Breville....forget about that overpriced "V" blender. I'm really happy with this product, I use it to make green smoothies every single day. Just like all the others. I've owned this blender for about 15 months and use it to make smoothies about every other day. Good at first, but soon had several problems. I purchased the BBL600XL in August 2007. Leaking after 3 months. It's a pretty unit but ours started leaking fluid from the blade assembly after only 3 months of infrequent very light duty use. Excellent blender. I bought this blender about 2 months ago and use it almost everyday for my protein shakes. Power button did not shut off on 2nd use. I'll give this blender a higher rating when the company provides me with a replacement.
Bad Blender. Like other reviewers we thought the $200 Breville blender would last a long time. Blades of Shame. At a minimum, a good blender should not: 1) insolently leak smoothie all over the counter when your back is turned; 2) vacuum-lock base to bowl, thereby proving impossible for non steroid-using mortals to clean; and, ultimately, 3) short-out, tripping all of the kitchen fuses. Great blender for the price! It was between this and the much more expensive Vita-mix. The Best Blender We Have Ever Owned. After owning two inferior blenders, I wanted one for our family that was powerful, sturdy, relatively quiet, easy to clean and good-looking. Best smoothie - slushy blender I ever owned. I chose this blender because of the sleek and attractive design, and at $200, I thought it would be superior to the blenders that are half the price. Is it possible for a man to love a blender? Very nice, designed with a lot of thought and detail! I bought it, because it was the nicest looking of bunch at Bed Bath & Beyond, plus it was part of the Ikon Collection, where the toaster, grill, and juicer match, so I purchased them all. Doesn't Work. I bought the Breville BL600XL Ikon Hemisphere LCD Blender in Decemmber 2007. Breville Ikon Blender. I bought this blender for my adult daughter who has limited ability to follow instructions and the fact that it was "Heavy Duty" and the same brand as two latte machines we bought and love. Wonderful Blending but LEAKS. Whats Good: Wonderful blending. IT DIED!!! And the worst customer service ever! DO NOT BUY! Disappointing. My previous blender was an ancient Waring. Pros and Cons ... and no leaking. I've owned this blender for over a year, and I make smoothies probably 5 times/week. Perfect Blender--Buy It. I've the Breville since it came out. Disappointed. Great product. My wife and I use this blender to make smoothies maybe 3-4 times a week. Love my Breville! This is my fourth blender in as many years. Never made it three months.
